Get in TouchHello! I'm Hakan, a final-year Informatics Systems student driven by a deep passion for technology and a constant desire to learn. My development journey has equipped me with a strong and versatile skill set.
Since January 2019, I've worked as a Freelance Developer, successfully completing over 50 projects. This has given me extensive experience in independent and client-focused development, with a specialization in game mechanics, scripting and debugging using tools like GameMaker, Git and Unity.
My extensive 10-year journey in game development includes highlights such as my role as an Animator-Tester for Epics of Distant Realm (also known as Village Wizard) from January 2021 – March 2022. In this collaborative indie team, I completed approximately 95% of the bone animations and actively participated in in-game testing, identifying critical bugs and providing feedback that significantly enhanced visual and gameplay quality. This experience sharpened my remote collaboration skills, emphasizing the importance of consistency and a keen eye for detail.
Beyond this, my freelance game development work includes building core systems for Liva (May 2023 – April 2024), such as dynamic lighting and stealth chat and implementing a complex rhythm-based gameplay system for the Rockerz.co NFT Game (January 2022 – April 2022).
In my free time, I contribute to open-source projects and explore emerging technologies. I am committed to building user-centric, high-performance and scalable applications that solve real-world problems.
